Jaffacino – Chocolate Orange Combo. of Heaven!
This is such an EASY and DELICIOUS treat that you can make in minutes. I found this on Princess Raw’s Facebook page. I was ready for a small meal and decided that this would be it. It took just a few minutes to blend and pour into glasses. I took Scott’s glass to him and his eyes lite up when he saw it. We were both moaning in delight over the taste! Oh, man! It sure did deliver HEAVEN!
Into a high speed blender (I use a Vitamix) or a food processor goes:
- 4 frozen bananas
- 3 Medjool dates (pitted)
- 1 tsp. orange zest (more for garnishing)
- 1 – 2 TB. Carob powder or cacao powder (more for garnishing)
- pinch of sea salt – to bring out flavors
Blend or process till smooth and creamy! That’s it! Serve it up and top with a sprinkling of carob powder, orange zest, or any other toppings you like. I chose carob powder because I didn’t want the stimulation I sometimes get with raw cacao powder. The carob powder was perfect with this!
I love the creaminess of this treat and the little pieces of date you come across periodically that lend a nice texture and of course, sweetness. This is a fabulous combination and hope you try it out. It is totally worth it!!
